A FAR FROM ORDINARY NINE HOLES: The Grayslake Golf Course is a scenic, far from ordinary nine-hole, par-three course complete with a large dose of shot-making challenges. Forced carries over hazards on five holes, deep, yawning bunkers, club-grabbing fescue and large berms surround severely contoured greens on most holes. The largest green - reminiscent of the old course at Scotland's St. Andrews - is on holes two and four. Be careful: the significant contour and elevation changes on the greens can easily result in a four-putt. Unpredictable winds make the course play surprisingly tough - wait until you try to hit a long iron over a water hazard into the signature fifth hole... with a 20 mph wind! When your round is complete, you'll feel at home while you relax with a snack and a soft drink or beer in Grayslake Golf Course's clubhouse or overlooking the wetlands on the outside patio. |
RULES & REGULATIONS PLEASE RESPECT WARNING SIGNS ON THE COURSE. THEY ARE THERE FOR YOUR SAFETY. Shoes and shirts are required, no cut-offs or halters allowed. No five-some's. Each player must have a set of clubs. Profanity and horseplay will not be tolerated. A nine hole round is to be completed in one and one-half hours. Grayslake Golf Course reserves the right to combine groups to expedite play. Damage to adjacent properties is your responsibility. Please report any damage to club house personnel. |
