Find Your Fun at Home

We would like to introduce our Find Your Fun At Home Series! Each week, we will post activities for your family to complete while you’re staying safe at home. When you’re finished, email a photo with your activity to dolson@glpd.com and we’ll share your photo on our social media pages!

We’re offering a selection of virtual classes so you can stay active and engaged while our facilities are closed.

Youth Recreation Classes
Register for a Youth Recreation Class and watch class videos at your own pace whenever is convenient!

Photography Classes
Learn how to use your camera from the comfort of your own home with a Zshots Photography class on May 20!

Yoga Balance usually offers classes at the Grayslake Park District and they’re currently offering free yoga videos on their Facebook page.

Cosmic Kids Yoga
Who could use a dose of yoga, mindfulness, and relaxation for kids? Cosmic Kids Yoga offers free videos on YouTube that can help your kids be physically active, all from the comfort of your living room.

Balloon Powered LEGO Cars
Bring your LEGO cars to life with this fun balloon-powered LEGO cars activity.

San Diego Zoo Kids
The San Diego Zoo’s Kids website has amazing videos, activities, and games for animal lovers of all ages!

Time Capsule Challenge
Create your own COVID-19 Time Capsule! These fun Time Capsule Worksheets give your child (and family) and chance to capture details about this time to reflect upon in the future.

Bunny Craft
Make a quick and easy bunny craft! Watch Ms. Danielle’s Bunny Craft video for step-by-step instructions.
