Youth Volleyball

Our Co-Ed Youth Volleyball League offers girls and boys (3rd-8th grade) the opportunity to learn basic volleyball fundamentals, strategies, and teamwork.

The league is designed so teams are balanced and that all athletes have a chance to play. Participants will practice one hour per week and have games on Saturdays.

Spring 2021 Co-Ed Sand Volleyball League

We’re taking our spring volleyball league outside with this NEW Co-Ed Sand Volleyball League.

Scrimmage Schedule – 4/9/2021

Safety Measures

Youth Volleyball will follow the All Sports Policy for Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Plan. The All Sports Policy allows intra-team scrimmages but does not allow competitive play. Therefore, teams will practice together during the week and then scrimmage each other on Saturdays.

Players will wear face coverings during practices and scrimmages. Each team will have two courts at a time, so players will maintain distancing as much as possible. Hand sanitizer will be available and players will be encouraged to sanitize often. If you have any questions about safety protocols, please contact Brice Walsh at bwalsh@glpd.com.

If you’re interested in coaching, please complete the Coach Sign Up Form and Required Paperwork and send it to Brice Walsh at bwalsh@glpd.com. All coaches must complete a criminal background check and attend the Volunteer Coaches CPR Class.

Thanks to Orthodontic Specialists of Lake County for sponsoring Spring 2021 Youth Volleyball!
