Due to the volume of applications received and the limited number of positions available, the Grayslake Park District will only contact those being considered for a position. If you are not hired, you may wish to consider our volunteer opportunities.

Seasonal & Part-Time Positions

Basketball Referee (16 years of age or older)

Responsible for officiating games for youth basketball leagues (2nd-8th grade) at various facilities near Grayslake. Position enforces rules and maintains order of game play.  Must adhere to and enforce all league rules, as well as all Park District regulations and safety standards. Must be IHSA Certified. Must have knowledge of the sport(s) played. Experience playing, coaching or previous referee experience is preferred. Must be available for games on Saturdays, January-Mid March 2020 between 8:30am-3pm (times will vary). $25 per game. Birthday Party Leader (21 years of age or older)

Birthday Party Leaders are responsible for making the birthday parties hosted at the Grayslake Park District go off without a hitch. Birthday Party Leaders set up for birthday parties (tables and chairs), decorate the party room and set-up equipment needed for the birthday party activities. Party Leaders also lead guests in the activities, like sports, song and dance, nerf games and more! Barre Instructor

We are searching for enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic Barre Instructors for classes designed at all fitness levels. Days and hours of work will include a combination of weekday, week night and weekend hours, based on the programming needs of the District.
